Rome food tours - our favourite way to explore the city

We’ve eaten our way through Rome one bite at a time—sampling everything from crispy supplì to silky carbonara. These food tours didn’t just fill us up—they connected us with the city’s heart through its flavors, stories, and warm, welcoming locals.

Rome food tour with Trionfale market

We assure you that this foodie walk is one of the best food tours in Rome.

We wanted to see non-touristy Rome and choose this foodie walk in Prati.

We loved this 4-hour Rome food tour and loved every minute. The route was fun, the guide was super friendly, and the tastings were nonstop. We did the tour a couple of years ago, and it’s still one of our favorite Rome food memories.

It started with an espresso and fresh cannoli at a cozy local café (perfect combo), followed by a stop at a gourmet deli for cheese, prosciutto, and truffle pâté. At Trionfale Market, we tried parmigiana, olive oils, and local wines, then headed to a popular pizza shop to sample Roman-style slices with classic and creative toppings.

The sit-down dinner at a nearby restaurant was a highlight—homemade gnocchi and pasta, paired with more wine. And of course, it all ended with gelato (pistachio + chocolate = perfection).

We stayed at the Eccelso Hotel and just walked to the meeting point, but it’s easy to reach from most central neighbourhoods.
